Application Improvements
1.

Test Management

               - Test cases can now be printed as an overview or in detail. If a test case is printed in detail it can be used as "paper copy" and

                 space for the test results have been provided.

               - Added a new button Save & New when entering test questions so that the test question list is not reloaded each time a question

                 is entered.

2. Test results and test history can now be printed.
3. Popup calendar has been changed to an inline DHTML calendar. The advantage is that it loads much faster than the popup calendar.
4. Start, stopping and pausing time tracking is much faster about 0.50 Sec.. No more annoying refreshes.
5. New icon added in the tool bar that let you stop task (second level) time tracking without going to the Today Page.
6. In the Errors and Changes section the system now records who entered an item and when as well as who last changed an item and when. The extra information has been added to XML Export.
7. The program offer different skins making the application more colorful.
8. Added % +/- column in both project overview reports
9. The application has been made more "resizable" and can now be run on a monitor with 800 X 600 Pixel resolution and higher.
10. The search capabilities have been enhanced so that the system now can search across all projects that a resource have access to. The resource can choose in what area's of the program to search as well.

Comment system improved.

11.1  When a task or error and change comment is entered you can now choose who the comment will be send to (via email).

11.2  New comment report, view all comment entered in the system grouped by task and errors and changes items. Further group by whom

         the the comment was intended for or who entered it.

11.3  Comment report can be printed.

12. Added the ability to load other pages from i.e. content management systems within the 3f Software Planner work space by customizing the menu. (XML Menu generator tool to be released in early November 2005 together with updated SDK)
13. Resources can now be assigned to the task while the task is being created. The system now gives two possibilities to assign a resource to a task, either in the task list or in the Gantt diagram (If you have the optional Gantt diagram and Planning Module)
14. My Assigned Tasks is a new page where all the tasks, from all projects, assigned to the resource working with the system are listed.
15. New navigation in the errors and changes section. You can now navigate through all errors and change items without going back to the list view. This is handy if you are working as a project manager and you want to review the errors and changes. You can, when you navigate from one item to another choose whether you want to save it or not i.e. if you have made a change.
   
Application Changes
1. Navigational structure. The primary navigation tool is now a tree view as oppose to pull down menu's. The result is a cleaner working area and much easier application navigation.
2. Gantt diagram and Planning Module now have enterprise and project resources that can be scheduled in the Gantt diagram.
3. Project Management Page renamed to Task Remaining Hours. When loaded, tasks are now sorted by task ID
4. The help index look and feel has been updated adhere to the new 3f Software Planner look and feel.
5. The icon identifying if a document has been uploaded has been updated so that it more clearly identifies where documents have been uploaded.
6. The project number now have a more prominent exposure  though out the application. This is especially helpful for companies where projects are referenced to through their project numbers.
7. Starting of Project and Non Project tasks time tracking has been separated. Project tasks are accessed from the tree view under the project to which they belong.
8. Moved Version History from the project report section to the general project section.
9. Project grouping has been moved from the Enterprise Menu to the Project Menu in the tree view.
10. Project and Enterprise resources (requires Gantt diagram and Planning module) now have a more prominent place in the project node.
11. Several icon's have been updated to better reflect the usage.
12. All un resolved errors and change items are now loaded each time you go to Errors and Changes without having to press "Retrieve".
13. When an error and change item is set to resolved, the hours estimated (entered) are no longer set to 0 any more.
   
Bug Fixes
1. The application can, from time to time hang when the user click the menu very fast with the mouse.
2. Solved bug when editing a user login on server installations using comma "," as decimal point i.e. in most European countries.
3. Solved bug that would prevent further login if an Enterprise Manager attempt to add one more login's than has been licensed.
4. Solved bug that allowed test questions to be imported through XML after testing has begun.
5. Various bugs related to quick time tracking and international settings.

Project Grouping

This is a report that allows you to group projects together independently of which client the projects were setup under. To read more about Project Grouping click here.

View tasks in My Active Task page. A small icon has been placed next to each task listed on the page, when the icon is clicked the task details are displayed in a pop-up window.

The software has been made module, the major features have now become optional.  The 3f Software Planner now comprises of numeral four different modules.  The modules are:

                                                                   Base Module (this is a requirement for all other modules)

                                                                   Gantt diagram and Planning

                                                                   Approval Management

                                                                   Test Management

 

If all four modules added, the fifth and last module is automatically added allowing XML files to be exported from the system.

Bug resolve: If second level time tracking is running overnight, and the user answers no to adjusting the previous days stop time during log in, time tracking could be corrupted for that day.

Various miscellaneous .bugs resolved.

 

 

1. Added XML export for test cases and test questions.  With this feature, test cases can be exported as XML file.  During export, the questions to include in the XML file can be selected.
2. Change to how task list and errors and changes XML files are saved during export.  The XML files are now saved locally on the client computer as opposed to being saved on the server computer.
3. 3f Software Planner is not available as a hosted or non hosted solution.

Installation Issues

Installation issues that prevented 3f Software Planner from starting on computers with antivirus and software firewalls has been resolved.

Task numbers for project and non project tasks have been added.

Color Scheme

A new color scheme was added to enhance the look and feel of the 3f Software Planner making it more like a normal software application.

Task Templates

The task list can now be exported in XML format allowing project templates to be created. Project templates can be imported into new projects to shorten the time spend when a new project is created.

Errors and Changes XML Export

Errors and Changes can now be exported in XML format to facilitate data interchange between different installations of 3f Software Planner.

Copy task from one project to another

Tasks can now be copied from one project to another.

Back Button

The former "Up One Level" link on the right mouse click has been interchanged with a back button. The back button keeps on taking you back to the previous page.

Project Phases are now in the Gantt diagram

The assigning of project phases has been moved into the task list on the Gantt diagram.

XML Log

XML file export is now logged similar to login and upload/download of files.

Delete XML Files

When XML files are deleted in the system the physical file is also deleted.

Improved Image handling (Print and Email)

The handling of images for printing and emails has now been improved.
